Sand & Sun! GiGi’s Playhouse in San Diego!

Another whirlwind, jam-packed, achievement-filled trip in under our belts! GiGi and I flew out to help celebrate the Grand Opening of GiGi’s Playhouse number 37! There was so much gratitude and love! Over 600 friends and families attended and the excitement showed on all their faces! We even saw people from other Playhouses that now live in sunny CA and are so happy to have a Playhouse in their lives again!! Plus the beach it just two blocks away! I am so grateful that GiGi’s San Diego is ready to deliver FREE purposeful programs to their community and boy is that community ready!

One of my favorite parts of the day happened when the event was over and we found this note from a sibling who attended the event. Put note here Enough said!

While we were in Cali we also visited our startup in Orange County! As GiGi and I pulled in a family came running up to us that we had met at our Chicago location! In 2013 they had just moved to Chicago from Spain and found a home at GiGi’s. The hardest part of the move to Orange County was leaving their GiGi’s family and all of the programs that had helped their daughter grow. Well now they are helping to bring a GiGi’s to Orange County and they will not have to be without their GiGi’s family anymore! They are so excited!

Plus, there is another GiGi’s family that moved there from GiGi’s Hoffman Estates IL. When their first child was born he had Down syndrome and they found a home at GiGi’s. Now 4 kids later they moved to Orange County and cannot wait to start a new GiGi’s family in their new hometown!

Next up my Boo and I repack our bags and join our friends in Phoenix at their 2018 ‘i have a Voice’ gala being hosted by our friend Mario Lopez! #neverstopping
