Truist Financial Creates Meaningful Change

GiGi’s Playhouse was blessed to have a new National Sponsor, Truist Financial, partner with us for GiGiFit Acceptance Challenge (GFAC) in 2022.

Truist believes their environmental, social, and corporate governance contributions are more than a responsibility—they’re an opportunity to fulfill our purpose to inspire and build better lives and communities.

To Truist, everyone and every moment matters. It’s a value that guides them to be intentional about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Current projections show that only 4% of companies nationwide that have a DEI program intentionally include those with disabilities. Truist is part of that 4% and has a thriving disability Business Resource Group (BRG), that has actively engaged with GiGi’s Playhouse!

By doing their part as a corporate citizen to help build a better quality of life for the communities in which they live and work, they hope to inspire others to do the same and create a ripple effect of meaningful change.

Much like the ripple effect of GiGi’s Playhouse, where our programs impact our participants with Down syndrome, the ripple effect on family members and strangers goes far beyond the Down syndrome community and into the world! We are so encouraged to hear and read about the organizations, like Trust, that give legs to the mission of GiGi’s Playhouse!
