From Our Nashville Playhouse : Sylvie’s Story

GiGi’s Playhouse offers 30+ FREE Educational and Therapeutic programs advancing literacy, math, motor skills, speech, nutrition, fitness, career skills and more.

One of the most successful programs at GiGi’s Playhouses across the nation is Language Music N’ Our Peeps (LMNOP). LMNOP guides parents and infants through learning basic sign language and through incorporating music and dance therapy into daily activities to stimulate the child.

From GiGi’s Nashville Playhouse, here’s Sylvie’s story…

“I wanted to share with you about LMNOP.  Sherry and I have loved the fact that Sylvie receives positive reinforcement from peers and others regarding speech and song.  The fact that we are both teachers, we understand the importance of group interaction and positive peer pressure.  Thanks to LMNOP, I have been exposed to countless baby signs and have retained several new signs that I would have never had the forethought to look up on my own.

In terms of how we have seen Sylvie grow, the attached video should speak for itself.  Thanks for everything you do and what GiGi’s does for the community.” – Tyler Merideth, Sylvia’s Dad
