Miracles always show up…but OUCH!

I think it is safe to say that if you know me, you know I do nothing small…”go big” is generally how I want to live. I have kicked off December with a serious bang!

GiGi accidentally slammed the trunk on my face the other night! Paul blamed me for being distracted or as he said, not present. (it could not have been the fact that I had to work, go shopping for our family…OK never mind darling, you are right, I was not present!) He is not entirely wrong though, (damn it!) The truth is I have been traveling a lot since December and I kept saying I cannot wait until December 4th, then I will be home and slow down. So this has actually really helped me to slow down. Every time I try to wash my face, put on makeup or do anything quickly I am reminded to slow down and enjoy the moment! You never realize how much you touch your face until it hurts every time you do it!

So as usual GiGi has helped me to truly slow down and enjoy the day! I always say my miracles come in many forms, including pain, here’s to another awesome, painful, miracle!

Getting some bookkeeping done should be a relatively easy, no pain involved task and I was way behind on all of my expenses after 3 months of traveling (ok so maybe a little painful) and I had months of receipts to organize! It was 5 am and the house was quiet so I had them in piles across my kitchen table. At 6:30 I went upstairs to wake up Bella and when I came back downstairs there was a penny ON TOP of my newly made pile of receipts for supplies to start the #GenerationG club at the high school!!! LEGIT!  ON TOP of the brand new pile of receipts! I could see if it was under them but on TOP of a freshly made pile??? No one was up, there is no other explanation! I literally stopped dead in my tracks and my mouth dropped and then I thanked my angels and started laughing at them for being so sneaky!! (I know when I find pennies on the ground it could be a fluke this was PLACED there!) You guys know how I am about my pennies. There is no other explanation here! (insert hearts!!)
I saw a post this morning about a baby with Down syndrome that got her angel wings and I could not help but think of the amazing children she will join in heaven still working their magic every day and making this world a better place.

Miracles, every day. Almost never how we expect them.  Happy December everyone! Remember to keep your eyes and hearts open!
