Justice for Jack! We need YOUR Help! #JusticeForJack

Jack, a freshman at Roncalli High School in Indiana and student manager for the football team, has Down syndrome and was assaulted because of it. Jack was abused, mocked, tormented, molested, and videotaped by his peers. This happened to him on multiple occasions when even a single instance is one time too many. All as school faculty and administrators turned a blind eye –failing to come to the aid of a child who needed their help and their protection. The story can be read HERE

Jack did not seek, nor did he provoke, the repeated attacks he was forced to relentlessly endure. He did not expect, nor did he invite, a confrontation with bigotry and malice. Jack was living his dream of attending Roncalli High School, of being a part of the football team when that dream was stolen from him. Seized by the hatred, the discriminations, the nightmarish thoughts in the minds of others.

Spreading a global message of acceptance in a time of conflict and sustaining hope in this winter of anxiety and fear is no small feat. Yet the true measure of a people’s strength is how they rise to master that moment when it does arrive. So we are asking you to stand with us this Thanksgiving and open the door to acceptance.

Every time we think we’ve measured our capacity to meet a challenge we look up and we are reminded that that capacity may well be limitless. This is a time for heroes and we ask you to do what is hard –to stand up to bigotry, to hate, to discrimination and fear – so we may do what is great: be accepting, be generous, be kind – be a part of #GenerationG, GiGi’s Playhouse global movement for acceptance.

Please share and encourage others to do the same & lets #havetheconversation
