February | Educate. Inspire. Believe.

Busy Busy BUSY and we LOVE IT! February has been another non-stop amazing month of educating, inspiring and believing!

We kicked February off with a trip to Annapolis Maryland to celebrate the grand opening of GiGi’s Playhouse number 36! I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am so proud of GiGi and the GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis team!! Hundreds of people came to the opening! News media was everywhere and we even made the front page of the morning paper! The First Lady of Maryland spoke and praised this team for their courage and ambition! They were on a mission and got it done! You can see some of the fabulous coverage HERE!

The entire Down syndrome community celebrated the naming of the 2018 Gerber Baby, Lucas! So proud of my friend and playhouse mom, Erin shared  CBS Chicago what this means to parents of kiddos with Down syndrome in the national spotlight about the Gerber Baby with Down syndrome!! Such a big win for Down syndrome!! Check it out HERE

I am incredibly proud of my girls! These sisters support and push each other to be their best every day! How great is this project they created for BHS-TV?! Keep up the great work GiGi Gianni & Bella Gianni, you make your mama proud! See their great work HERE!

I am not giving up, programs that include direct hate to individuals with Down syndrome cannot stand! Netflix, we won’t back down. I am very happy to report that Tim Shriver from Special Olympics and Anthony Shriver from Best Buddies International have our backs!! We are going to Corporate America next. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY CONTACTS FOR ME! I am ON this! We are still waiting to hear from Netflix. As I said, I cannot change the ignorant, prejudice comedian but I can ask Netflix to stop spreading the hate to our youth and the world. This is not OK. #iamnotapunchline

With all of this going on we are also getting very excited and working so hard to have the best ‘I have a Voice’ gala yet! What does a GiGi’s gala look like? Hmm, a packed dance floor, great food and drinks, inspiration, education and so much fun you will need to sleep in the next morning! If you do not have your tickets yet please stop over and learn about all the great things we have planned and snag your tickets! Get out that little black dress, grab some friends and come celebrate with us! Click HERE

Only one more week of February left! Wonder what miracles are waiting!
