Down Syndrome Awareness Month

What is Down Syndrome Awareness Month?

Originally established in the 1980s, the month of October is set aside to raise understanding of Down syndrome and the amazing abilities people with the diagnosis have.

It’s the last week of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, but our work is just beginning!!

At GiGi’s Playhouse, we’ve spent the month raising awareness to create a more accepting and inclusive world for all! But we need your help! Though October is coming to an end, we serve over 30,000 families nationwide all year long! Our programs are FREE to them, but not free to us. That’s why we’re asking everyone to come alongside us for the last week of Down Syndrome Awareness Month and donate $31 ($1 for every day in October) or ANY amount to help us expand our FREE programming and continue changing the world!

7 days of giving. A lifetime of impact.
