Press Release

Charity boxing match to take place in Lincoln Park

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 3, 2024 (Chicago, IL) – Forget silent auctions or fancy galas – a different kind of charity event is hitting Chicago. Real Estate Rumble, a charity boxing event, will take place at Park West in Lincoln Park on Thursday, May 16.

Sponsored by Vesta Preferred Realty, the event will showcase 20 Chicagoland real estate professionals ready to step into the boxing ring and duke it out for a worthy cause.

This year, Real Estate Rumble is proud to partner with GiGi’s Playhouse, the only network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers, and Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, which serves at-risk children in Illinois. All proceeds raised from the event will benefit GiGi’s Playhouse and Mercy Home.

Originating over a decade ago, Real Estate Rumble has raised over $300,000 for charitable organizations. Ryan Cotter, the event’s host, shared that the boxing matches, held in front of enthusiastic crowds, not only entertain but also serve as a powerful way to raise awareness and funds for important causes.

In preparation for the event, the 20 real estate professionals entering the ring had the opportunity to train with a boxing coach before squaring off against their opponent. Each match is set to last three rounds. In addition to a live crowd, the vibrant atmosphere (click here to see highlights from last year’s event) will include an open bar, a DJ, an emcee providing ringside commentary for each bout, and lively cheering sections for each boxer.
