The First Frontier: T-Shirt Competition

GiGi’s Playhouse has hosted countless events, from festive holiday gatherings to grand Gala nights celebrating each GiGi’s locations and allowing us to grow, all in support of its incredible mission. But what if this time, the event was a nationwide competition? Picture eight Youth Boards from across the country going head-to-head to design the first National #GenG Youth Board themed GiGi’s Playhouse shirt – an exciting challenge that combines creativity, teamwork, and a little friendly rivalry!

This competition is all about showcasing the talents and unique perspectives of our Youth Boards. Each Board will have the opportunity to submit one original T-shirt design that reflects the spirit and mission of GiGi’s. It is highly recommended that every Youth Board submit a design as this competition is all about showcasing the collective talent and vision of the youth at GiGi’s Playhouse.

How It Works:

  • Create Your Design: Gather your team and brainstorm ideas that represent your playhouse’s unique style and connection to GiGi’s Playhouse mission and the #GenerationG pledge. Be creative, bold, and authentic!
  • Submit Your Design: Once your masterpiece is ready, email your design to Ethan Tonni (etonni@gigisplayhouse.org). Make sure to include the name of your playhouse and a brief description of the inspiration behind your design.
  • National Voting: All submissions will be shown on a poll on the official GiGi’s Playhouse Instagram account for national voting. This is your chance to rally your community to support your design!
  • Winning Design: The design with the most votes will be turned into an official shirt and featured in GiGi’s Playhouse official merch store, available for purchase nationwide!
  • Need Help? If you need help getting started or more clarification on the rules, please feel free to email either Manan Patel (mpatel@gigisplayhouse.org) or Ethan Tonni (etonni@gigisplayhouse.org).

Important Dates:

  • Submission Deadline: March 21, 2025 (World Down syndrome Day).
  • Voting Period: Starts the day after WDSD; lasts three weeks.
  • Winner Announcement: April 12, 2025.
