Meet Peter – Best of All

Peter, one of our adult self-advocates, has been involved with GiGi’s Twin Cities Programming for almost four years.  Peter is a kind, smart, curious, and thoughtful member of our community. For our in-person programming, he has taken part in Speech skills, Self-Advocacy for Adults, Dance, Fantastic Friends, Theater, EPIC, and Music/Choir just to name a few. Once GiGi’s started offering GiGi’s At Home for our national and local virtual programs, Peter jumped in to get involved with those too: Music, Fantastic Friends, Step to Accept Workout, Dance, and GiGiFIT Adult. All these opportunities over the past four years, both in-person and virtual programs, have given Peter many chances to interact with other adults and gain important social skills, while also learning many additional new skills through our free, progressive, educational, and therapeutic programming.

Recently, Peter was featured on our GiGi’s Playhouse Twin Cities YouTube channel, and across all our social media for his guitar skills: HERE when he participated in GiGi’s Music – GiGi’s At Home, Nationally.

Locally, one of the programs Peter has consistently participated in this spring and summer, is our virtual Fantastic Friends through GiGi’s At Home, where we have had tremendous leaders for all our local programs, across all age groups, all spring and summer. Recently Ann, led an Art History and Studio Art class this past Friday – and the photographs included in this blog, feature his beautiful art.

We are honored to have Peter and his wonderful family, including Barbara and Kevin, be part of our GiGi’s Playhouse Twin Cities community. Thank you all for taking full advantage of the programming opportunities available through GiGi’s over the past few years. We look forward to continuing to see the entire family in the future.
