World Down Syndrome Day is this Thursday, March 21st! Celebrate at GiGi’s or any one of the fundraisers across the metro. We hope to see you there.

Open Play (10 AM-12 PM)

Join us for a special Open Play to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day! We’ll have crafts, games, karaoke, and donuts! Buy a WDSD donut from Donut Star at the Playhouse commemorating World Down Syndrome Day! Donuts will be $4 and $2 from each sold will go to Ava’s Dance Party.

On March 21,  join Ava’s Dance Party in celebrating WDSD throughout the day with our Donuts and Drafts for Down syndrome!

Start the morning with a specially created WDSD donut from The Donut Star in Burnsville. $2 (Limited Quantity) from each one sold goes to Ava’s Dance Party.  

Finish up WDSD relaxing with one of over a dozen craft beers at Nine Mile Brewing in Bloomington. $1 from each pour sold goes to Ava’s Dance Party.

Ava’s Dance Party is an annual dance event that raises money for GiGi’s Playhouse Twin Cities to support free programming for individuals with Down syndrome from birth through adulthood.

“Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day at Broders’ Restaurants and dine with a purpose this coming 3/21.
On this day of action, we will be celebrating the life and vibrancy of our very own, Kit Broder. Kit, the first grandchild of the Broder family was born with Down Syndrome. Now a second grader at MPS, Kit is an avid foodie, storyteller, athlete & incredible older sister to Bella and Frankie. Down Syndrome is one part of Kit. She is full of strength, creativity and compassion. She loves working and playing in a community that celebrates diversity and acceptance. In the spirit of Kit, we encourage our greater community to seek out and appreciate the strengths of people with Down Syndrome and the organizations that uplift them!
In honor of WDSD 2024, Broders’ Restaurants has committed to donating 10% of company revenue to three incredible organizations: Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota, Jack’s Basket and GiGi’s Playhouse Twin Cities!
