Our Team

Tim Hawley
Executive Director

Married to Jen Hawley for 25 years and has three children: Maddie (24), Bennett (21) and Reilly (19). Tim and his entire family have been very involved in the special needs’ community since the birth of Reilly who has intellectual and development disabilities.

Tim spent his career in corporate marketing working with companies that included McDonald’s and most recently Dairy Queen. Tim enjoyed and is very grateful for his marketing career, but in 2018 he followed his career goal to evolve from a non-profit volunteer to employee. He joined GiGi’s Twin Cities as Executive Director in January of 2019.

Katherine Rebstock
Programs Director

Katherine is excited and enthusiastic about joining GiGi’s as our new programs manager! Katherine comes to us with over 12 years of sales, marketing, and project management experience. Katherine also has a passion for working with children, having worked most recently as a float reserve teacher in the Minnetonka school system with so many wonderful students and staff members. One of the highlights from her experience in the school system was working with children with special needs. This is also personal for Katherine, who is the aunt to a teenager with Down syndrome.

She is so excited to meet the GiGi’s community in her new role, see the smiling faces in the playhouse and help to expand our in person and virtual programming!

John Ward
Operations Director

Hello! I am so glad to be working at GiGi’s Playhouse-Twin Cities. I was born and raised in Saint Paul. I graduated from Cretin Derham-Hall for high school and then Metro State University for college. Prior to this I have worked for the teacher’s union here in MN and before that a small environmental non-profit. I am passionate about social justice, anti-racism, and working hard to end the stigma around mental health. I live in Saint Paul with my wife Jenny and our two cats (although I am much more of a dog person). In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, trivia nights, board games, and playing kickball. I am looking forward to diving into my new role and meeting/working with many of you!
