Why Do We Step Together?

This event will not only help us achieve our Global mission of ACCEPTANCE FOR ALL, but it will also help us fund the critical GiGi’s programming that is now available virtually through our GiGi’s At Home site.

We had to suspend 4,400 hours a week of FREE therapeutic and educational programs to our families. Our families and playhouses were devastated, but GiGi’s bounced back.

Here is what our families are saying now!

“THANK YOU for all you are doing to establish new programs online!! Accomplishing this so quickly and remotely may not be an easy task but you are all doing a wonderful job pulling it together for us!”
-Paula, Nathan’s mom (Hoffman Estates)

“GiGi’s At Home seriously made our days better. It has been so hard and now we have programs to look forward to!”
-Olivia, Ariana’s Mom (Sacramento)

“Thank you for making all your programs available online! All of our formal therapies have been canceled and we have been trying to make sure we keep working at home!”
-Addison’s mom (Des Moines)

“Thank you for making these virtual programs possible! Hayden loved music today and “seeing” friends!”
-Kate, Hayden’s Mom (Nashville)

I first heard of Gigi’s Playhouse in my October of Inside Orleans. It appears to be a wonderful approach for children with Downs Syndrome.
My granddaughter, Camille, is 15 years old and has attended St. Michael’s Special School for the past 5 years, after she previously attended public school in St. Tammany. She is very bright, reads very well, is in the choir at St. Michael’s and is very happy there.
I wonder if she would be a fit for your playhouse at her present age (she will turn 16 in Feb. 20026), and/or how this could be a benefit to her. She lives in Slidell, and I live in Metairie, so her attendance would be an issue.
