INDIVIDUALS WITH DOWN SYNDROME SHINE WITH THE STARS AT GIGI’S PLAYHOUSE 2017 “I HAVE A VOICE” GALA:

850 BELIEVERS BREAKING RECORDS TO CHANGE THE WORLD AND GROW ACCEPTANCE FOR ALL

GiGi's Playhouse

Joined by Mario Lopez of Extra TV, Rob Johnson of CBS 2 News Chicago, the NFL Retired Players Association – Chicago Chapter, 7th Heaven and more, GiGi’s Playhouse broke new records and reached for more stars at the 2017 “I have a Voice” Chicagoland Gala.

Through the amazing support and belief of 850 guests; more than $600,000 was raised for life-changing therapeutic and educational programs such as one-on-one literacy and math tutoring, speech therapy, fitness, career training; and also the critical Generation G campaign for global acceptance.

From some of our Playhouse families:

– “Don’t stop believing these kids are AMAZING!”

– “Fear of the unknown is so real. Just give these babies a chance, they will melt your heart”

– “This is awesome! I saw my godson Chris rockin out.”

– “I am loving all these lives!”

– “We had such a GREAT time!”

Founder, “Chief Belief Officer” and GiGi’s Mom Nancy Gianni spoke emotionally and inspirationally about the many challenges facing families who have children with Down syndrome, as well as the challenges of delivering a free-program business model. “My heart is full with the incredible amount of love, energy and support I felt in the room for GiGi’s Playhouse,” says Nancy. “From Mario (Lopez) taking time out of his schedule to join us in celebrating the achievements our organization has made since we met him 4 years ago on the set of EXTRA, to the generosity of our guests who understand the importance of dedicated locations and free programs by donating their time and money: our dream of breaking down barriers and creating a national movement of acceptance for all continues to grow beyond my wildest dreams.” View Nancy’s full remarks below.

GiGi’s Playhouse particularly thanks 2017 co-chairs Maria Pradd, Amanda Rooney and Todd Harper for your great leadership and oversight.

The evening was filled with belief, fun and inspiration
