GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis Hosts Annual ‘I Have A Voice’ Gala

Celebrating All the Reasons We Are More Alike Than Different

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis (GiGi’s), a local Down syndrome achievement center, is hosting its annual ‘I Have a Voice’ Gala on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. The event is the largest and most important fundraiser of the year for the local non-profit, that offers therapeutic, educational, recreational and career programing to participating families free of charge.

GiGi’s Indianapolis location opened its doors in 2015 and currently serves 350 Down syndrome program participants from infant all the way into adulthood with over 18 free programs. The annual Gala allows Central Indiana an opportunity to continue to empower a great resource within our community, embrace children and adults with Down syndrome and celebrate all the reasons we are more alike than different.

“Our annual Gala is such a magical evening,” said Denisse Jensen, executive director of GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis. “We get to celebrate our families, our achievements of the last year and look to a future of expanding our programs to help even more families. It also is a night to showcase how it’s really all about empowering each family that walks through our doors — that they aren’t alone and together all things are possible.”

The public is invited to attend and help GiGi’s continue to bring to life their mission to educate, inspire and achieve. The theme of this year’s Gala is strength. The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. and will include a formal dinner, silent auction and live entertainment. Guests also will enjoy a red-carpet entrance with a fun photo opportunity this year.
