Community Connections – Liberty Mutual and Barrett & Stokely

Community is one of the most vital pieces to the GiGi’s Playhouse network of playhouses. Our core values directly tie into our community; our mission is to change the way that the WORLD views Down syndrome. Employee volunteering events help us reach this goal. It widens our reach by bringing in members of our community who do not have a direct link to someone with Down syndrome. Each and every time that a local organization, corporate company, or school group joins us for a few hours at the Playhouse, we are left feeling grateful and motivated. It is because of employee groups such as Liberty Mutual and Barrett & Stokely that we can continue to put the majority of our focus on making the Playhouse the best that it can be!

Take a few minutes to read these volunteer reflections –

“Our company had the opportunity to volunteer at GiGi’s Playhouse a couple of weeks ago. It was a great chance to learn about the impact and offerings the organization has on our community. We hope to be able to continue volunteering in future capacities and would urge others to do the same.”

“I had a great time volunteering at GiGi’s yesterday! I could really see how passionate you were about your work, and what a positive impact your organization must have on our community…I think we all felt a lot of love coming from that building! The crafting projects were so much fun, and I hope that everyone has just as much fun completing them!
