To Our Amazing Supporters, Vendors, Playhouses, Families and Friends:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

What a year! YOU are the miracles that help our families every day! Because of YOUR support and impact, I can’t help but marvel at the achievements that occurred in 2015:

  • We opened TEN playhouses bringing our total to 27!
  • We’ve been blessed by more than 100,000 donated hours from volunteers!
  • We served 25,000 families around the US and in Mexico!
  • We provided nearly 46,000 program sessions and we’re planning for more!
  • We received a donation of a 55′ semi-trailer with our kids on all sides!
  • We received our very first multi-year pledge to the Generation G campaign!
  • We push boundaries, help families, and inspire action for greater acceptance!

WOW!!!

Thank you for making a difference TODAY, throughout 2015, and over the past 12 years. Achievements made by our participants, belief instilled in our families, and perceptions changed in our communities are happening because of you. Thank you for believing that the world can become a much better place – one child, one diagnosis, one community at a time.

Our work is far from complete. New parents are still not getting encouragement they need from hospitals. Students with Down syndrome are being bullied at school and on social media, and are not receiving education in the way they learn best. Qualified adults with Down syndrome are being rejected from great jobs. There is still so much more to do.

Our plan is called Generation G.

This is a movement, a daily mindset and a fundraising initiative. YES we will continue to change the world together – and YES this takes greater investments. After 12 years, more children need programs. More adults need meaningful jobs. More wrongs of discrimination and bullying need to be righted. Generation G is a solution we can champion together! Generation G is generous and accepting with their time, heart and support. Generation G makes impact sooner than later. Above and beyond events and grants, we need to raise $4 million over the next three years to make critical impacts on families who NEED our Playhouse programs and social change campaigns.

Your year-end donation will help JUMP START the first year of our Generation G campaign to help even more people believe and achieve inside and OUTSIDE of the Playhouse. What does that mean? What greater impacts can you make? What are the goals?

  • More literacy sessions and a new educational excellence committee!
  • More speech pathology sessions and videos families can access at home!
  • New take home materials to ensure progress is made outside of the Playhouse!
  • New social change campaigns to show that differences are NOT weaknesses!
  • …and that’s just in the first quarter of 2016!

WITHOUT a strong start to the Generation G project — our families will continue to face consistent push back against acceptance and opportunities for their children. The time for progress is now. I personally invite you to join Generation G and continue helping our families who benefit from a dedicated PLACE for achievement, belief, and confidence. We are SO grateful that you are a part of the GiGi’s family, and we wish you and your family a happy and prosperous New Year.

Thank you one and all. Bring on 2016 and bring on Generation G!!!
