Records Broken at GiGi's Playhouse 2017 Golf Outing!

For the first time ever, GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers hosted its annual golf outing at the prestigious Wynstone Golf Club, attracting more than 130 players and corporate sponsors; all uniting to change the world.

 

Records were broken and more than $130,000 was raised in support of free, purposeful programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Led by 2017 co-chairs Paul Gianni and Tim Boundy: corporate executives, generous sponsors and guests enjoyed memorable experiences on and off the golf course, including a new charity “golf ball drop” from a live helicopter; serving as a fundraising opportunity at the end of play. GiGi’s Playhouse namesake and global ambassador GiGi Gianni kicked off the day of event ceremonies with a beautiful live rendition of the National Anthem. Founder Nancy Gianni and adult mentor Farzin Sharyari, an inspirational adult with Down syndrome, delivered impassioned speeches to guests before and after play, focusing on the importance of kindness and acceptance for all; a vision GiGi’s Playhouse lives out daily through its Generation G campaign.

 

Funds raised during the day of event giving opportunities were generously matched by guests of honor Vince and Pat Foglia.

GiGi’s Playhouse is incredibly grateful to Mr. Bill Schrack for donating and piloting the first annual Helicopter Ball Drop.
