Yoga Tales @ GiGi’s Playhouse Des Moines

Each week at Yoga Tales, Max and his buddies work to improve body awareness, enhance concentration and strengthen gross motors skills, all in the context of FUN!  Who knew that while making new friends, practicing turn taking and following instructions, Max and his friends could also build their self-esteem and release some of that extra energy! WE DID!!!

Yoga Tales is a fun and interactive program which promotes self-confidence and self-awareness through stories, sounds and stretching. Each class explores a new book which invites learners and yogi’s alike to strike a pose and stretch along to the story.  Students will strengthen their muscles and build reading comprehension skills while finding out what their body really can do!  Yoga Tales encourages movement while enhancing strength, coordination and body awareness.

Max achieves his highest potential through hard work and motivation- all part of every GiGi’s Playhouse program!  All 30 of our free, educational and therapeutic programs are designed to support the learning needs of individuals with Down Syndrome and to help our kids and adults reach their “Best of All” every day!
