Volunteer Spotlight – Patti

Our volunteers mean the world to us

Meet our wonderful volunteer, Patti Dorgan. Well, she’s not exactly new too GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego. Patti has been volunteering with GiGi’s since 2019 where she quickly took to tutoring and working with many different participants. She then decided, like many volunteers, that there is so much more to GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego and explored other programs such as GiGi’s Kitchen, Fantastic Friends and many different events. She has even shadowed as a lead. As you can see the volunteer opportunities at GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego opens many avenues of interest. Patti has now been volunteering in different capacities which are greatly needed and appreciated! We have no doubt Patti will excel in any program or volunteer option that is presented her way.

We asked Patti to share a few thoughts about GiGi’s:

  • How did you find GiGi’s?

I found Gigi’s from the news story on the Donut Run four years ago

  • What made you want to volunteer?

I really connected with the mission of Gigi’s, and love being part of this amazing community.

  • What is your favorite part of being a volunteer?

The ongoing relationships with the kiddos, parents, and other volunteers.

We thank you Patti for being a great example of what it means to be a volunteer!!
