Make A Great Introduction

From the National Down Syndrome Congress:

It’s the start of a new school year and you want everyone to know all about your son or daughter, and how they can help him or her to succeed.  One way is to share a message with the entire class with a letter to the other parents.  Click here to see a version we like!

Another way is to visit the class and read a story about someone with Down syndrome.  Some titles to check out include My Friend Isabelle, My Friend Has Down Syndrome, and Taking Down Syndrome to SchoolBe prepared to answer some questions from classmates too.
