Best of All March 2023 Issue – Miss Molly

Have you ever met someone who gives their 100% in everything that they do? We have and her name is Miss Molly. Back in 2016, Molly, a mom of 2 at the time, was reading the newspaper and saw an article about the Playhouse opening and immediately knew that she wanted to be involved. She stopped by the Playhouse and shadowed LMNOP which was being led by Mr. Tom. Little did Molly know, Mr. Tom was going to become not only her co-leader, but one of her best friends.

Over the next 6 years, Miss Molly and Mr. Tom would develop LMNOP into not only a consistent in-person program, but even a virtual program during the COVID-19 pandemic. The LMNOP team did not skip a beat when they were notified that the Playhouse was temporarily closing due to COVID. They quickly organized a time to meet at the Playhouse, created interactive lesson plans, gathered materials that could be sent home with their early learners, and set up a drive-thru for the families. They always made sure to send home enough materials for siblings to participate as well.

Throughout all of Molly’s LMNOP volunteering, she also made time to serve as the “Family Engagement Coordinator”. Connecting with new families was something that Molly deeply enjoyed and she was great at! However, in 2022, she turned in her volunteer name tag and signed on as staff at GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis! Joining us as our Programs Manager has been a vital piece for our success.

Miss Molly believes in GiGi’s Playhouse. She believes in our mission, our families, our friends, our programs, our volunteers and in inclusion and ability. Molly has been bringing her 3 kiddos to the Playhouse to volunteer with her since she began in 2016. Her own children have grown up with GiGi’s, just like all of the kiddos that she has led in LMNOP over the past 6 years. The evolution of Miss Molly is magical and we are forever grateful for her dedication to the Playhouse!
