Participant Best of All: Valencia Trujillo

Valencia Trujillo has recently taken both literal and figurative big steps toward achieving her Best of All moments.

As one of the first participants selected for the 1-on-1 Occupational Therapy pilot program in Tampa, Valencia has gained confidence in walking independently and improving her balance. Through Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) therapy used in GiGi’s Playhouse therapeutic, purposeful programs, Valencia took her first steps last month – just in time for her 2nd birthday!

Since joining Language Music ‘N’ Our Peepers (LMNOP), the GiGi’s Playhouse signature program for ages 0-3, Valencia has become an essential part of the group. LMNOP has helped Valencia engage more with family, therapists, as well as develop a love for books and enjoyment in listening to stories. She’s also become more vocal – imitating words from her parents and program leads, in addition to recognizing people, animals and objects by name more & more each day.

For these reasons we are celebrating Valencia!
