Winners of the DuGood Challenge!

We won!

We are so happy to announce that the GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego team at Dudek was awarded first place in the DuGood Challenge. As a result of their hard work, we got a donation to bring us closer to Opening Day!

The DuGood Challenge

Dudek, an environmental and engineering consulting firm based in Encinitas, held their 2016 fundraising challenge. Teams of Dudek employees competed to raise the most funds for their charity of choice. The team fundraising for GiGi’s Playhouse SD won the contest, resulting in a generous donation from Dudek!

A heartfelt thank you!

Karen, our President of the board expressed her gratitude: “Thank you for the opportunity to raise funds and awareness for GiGi’s Playhouse through the DuGood Challenge. Since GiGi’s is operated 99% by volunteers, this will go a long way towards running our center and providing much-needed resources to individuals with Down syndrome throughout San Diego County. With the support from community partners like Dudek, GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego is becoming a reality. We are currently searching for a space to lease and look forward to opening this year.”

It’s moments like these that truly warm our hearts. We are so thankful to have a community around us who supports and lifts us up! It’s also during these times that we see how GiGi’s Playhouse has a positive effect on people, even before we’ve opened our doors (a few months away!).

Thank you to all those who took part in this challenge, and to Dudek, who gave us the platform to raise these funds.
