GiGi’s Kitchen Gives Back During Volunteer Appreciation
Our first ever GiGi’s Kitchen gives back was a huge success!
Over this last GiGi’s Kitchen session, the participants got to put their hard earned skills into action. Earlier in the session they learned how to garden simple lettuce, kale and beets in the community garden provided by Christ Lutheran Church where the Playhouse is located. This garden was used for the Kitchen program as well as Fantastic Friends to learn the garden farm to table process.
They made a fresh garden salad, using their knife safety skills, adaptive peelers and team building skills in order to work together making this an awesome fresh give back to our wonderful volunteers!
