It’s not a Mini Guitar, it’s a Ukulele

There are many ways to define “self-care”:

“It refers to those behaviors performed to improve well-being, preserve health, or to maintain physical and emotional stability.” – Wikipedia.
“Self-care is important to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself as it produces positive feelings and boosts your confidence and self-esteem.” – Forbes.

What ever your belief or knowledge of “Self-care” or “Healthy work-life balance”, it is very important to take care of yourself for you and your loved ones.

How are you taking care of you? What are you doing that is just for you? 💗

Thanks to our amazing partners of Resounding Joy, they created some music lessons for this awesome group of GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego parents and they are doing just that, taking care of themselves. They picked up an instrument and starting learning the Ukulele and just to be clear, it’s not a mini guitar 😆

“I just wanted to share that I love the ukelele class so much!! It’s been such a blessing to our family. I even use it for School during breaks and has been such a joy around our house. This is the first time in 13 years that I pick up an instrument and do something nice for myself. I am very grateful, Thank you Gigi’s!!!”- Viviana C., Matthan’s mom.

It has its Ripple effects

“Here’s a video of Matthan with his speech therapist at school playing what I learned at our ukelele class.  It’s amazing how our ukelele class is transferring over to school zoom in such a positive way!!
Thank you so much for bringing joy to our family through music as well!” – Viviana C., Matthan’s mom.

Tell us, what are you doing for yourself… we would love to know!
