Stop in and enjoy the Playhouse with your child, visit with other families, or participate in one of a variety of activities facilitated by the MENP team of UCSD Nursing Students. Activities will change weekly, but will always be engaging and beneficial for you and your child!

**In-person** LMNOP (Ages 0-3)
from 10:00 – 11:00 am
LMNOP is an interactive and engaging program designed to guide parents and young children through learning basic sign language and other forms of communication using music and language-based activities. LMNOP is recommended for ages Birth-36 months.

**In-person** GiGiFit Class (Ages 18+)
from 6:00 – 6:45 pm
GiGiFIT Adult introduces the key movements of foundational, hip strengthening, and vestibular/balance exercises, making them successful to implement and practice at any stage of life! Focuses on improving areas of fitness through activities in strength, endurance, joint stability, balance, movement control and more. GiGiFIT promotes wellness through nutrition, pushing through barriers and building self-confidence. Recommended for 18+. This is an 8-week programs. Participants are encouraged to attend every week!

**In-person** Karate Kickers (Ages 8+)
from 6:00 – 7:00 pm
Karate Kickers focuses on development of balance, coordination, discipline, focus, attention, and confidence. There will be no physical contact between peers.
For youth with Down syndrome ages 8 and up. Siblings are welcome!

WEBINAR: Students with Down Syndrome: Inclusion, Mainstreaming, and the Least Restrictive Environment.
Wondering how your child’s school is going to address inclusion? With schools reopening to in-person learning, safety protocols, and cohorts there are a lot of questions about how students are going to receive their education in the least restrictive environment. Join us for a discussion about special education rights and how schools are approaching the coming school year with a focus on inclusion and mainstreaming. Let’s talk about how to advocate for inclusive change in placement and better and collaborative outcomes for students with Down syndrome!
Moderated by Seth Schwartz, Esq. Panelists of advocates include April Villafaña, Ashley Parton, Jeni Rayle, Karla Maldonado, and Sarah Tira.
