Free Programs to Celebrate Fall!

Join us for Free Programs and Fun to celebrate the start of a new season!

Our playhouse is welcoming the fall season with pumpkin painting, a Halloween party with Legoland, and a spooky spaghetti sensory bin. Fantastic Friends (18+) will be having a Halloween dance and costume contest. We also will be starting Playhouse Pals this month and will be offering another music therapy class in Oceanside. See below for all the programs we will be offering this month!


Legoland Halloween Party!

Sunday October 21st 2:00-4:00 p.m

Legoland is coming back to GiGi’s Playhouse! We will be having a Halloween Party, complete with trick or treating and costumes. Legoland Master Builders will be here and the kiddos will be able to create their own masterpieces. Wear your costume and be ready for some fun!

North County Music Therapy (Ages 0-5)

Every Thursday at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. 

Starting October 18th, GiGi’s Playhouse and Resounding Joy will be offering FREE Music Therapy from 4:00-5:00 p.m and 5:00-6:00 p.m. The classes will be held at Teri Inc. in Oceanside. To register please email jveroneau@gigisplayhouse.org

Fantastic Friends (18 years and older)

Friday October 19th 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Our Fantastic Friends program supports the development of social skills and language through peer to peer interaction in a casual fun setting. Adult participants participate in the planning of activities so that group activities are based on personal interests. During Fantastic Friends, the group may participate in active games, dancing or exploring their local community by participating in outings and events.  We recommend Fantastic Friends for ages 18 years and older.
This month we will have a Halloween dance and costume contest!

LMNOP

Monday October 22nd 10:00-11:00 a.m.

LMNOP is an interactive and engaging program designed to guide parents and young children through learning basic sign language and other forms of communication using music and language-based activities.  We recommend this program for ages Birth-36 months.

Leaps & Bounds (3-5 year olds)

Saturday October 20th 10:00-11:00 a.m.

This program focuses on the development of large and small muscle groups. Children will participate in fun and engaging activities that require movement and interaction with their development. Our Leaps & Bounds program is recommended for ages 3-5 year olds. This month will feature an autumn hopscotch & mini pumpkin painting!

Playhouse Pals (5-8 year olds)

Saturday October 20th 2:00-3:00 p.m. 

Playhouse Pals is an interactive and engaging program for participants ages 5 through 8. We support the development of social skills and language through peer to peer interaction in a casual and fun setting. This program also supports gross motor skills through active games, as well as fine motor skills & self-help skills.

Destination Discovery (All Ages)

Saturday October 27th 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Destination Discovery supports the development of fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social skills and language through purposeful play and peer to peer interaction in a causal and fun setting. In addition this program also brings families together to share experiences and build relationships.
This month come join us to paint your own pumpkin!

Karate Kickers (8+)

Wednesday October 31st 4:30 p.m

Karate Kickers focuses on development of balance, coordination, discipline, focus, attention, and confidence. There will be no physical contact between peers. For youth with Down syndrome ages 8 and up. Siblings are welcome!
