Updates – Coronavirus Impact here at GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities

Dear participants, families, friends and volunteers,

You may have seen the recent Facebook post and/or received the email regarding the GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities suspension of programs and events. We want to be clear on a number of things.

ALL programs for the remainder of this month are canceled! This includes one-on-one tutoring and speech. It also includes the current session based programs such as Dance and GiGiFIT Teen.

The World Down Syndrome Day Open House has been canceled and the Rock Star Bingo Event is being rescheduled. We will share the new date and details as soon as we can. We will make announcements soon with ways to celebrate WDSD virtually!!

Orange Leaf will still honor the Buy One, Get One 1/2 Off Special and the Teachers’ Aide Store will still be donating a portion of all sales to the Playhouse. However, participating in those activities is entirely your judgment call.

At this time, there are also discussions taking place regarding the postponement/rescheduling of the 2020 “i have a Voice” Gala. We will share more information with you as soon as it becomes available.

While we do not know of anyone connected to the Playhouse that has been affected by the virus we feel that it is in the best interest of our participants, families and the community to take precautions at this time.

During this time of program and event suspension, staff will continue to be at the Playhouse during business hours. They will be available via phone and email only as outside visitors will not be allowed. They will be busy working on sanitizing the Playhouse and making plans for future programs and events plus more!

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, comments, or needs over the next couple of weeks.
