Summer 2019 Tutoring

Summer 2019 Tutoring kicks off this week!

We are so excited to have 19 weekly one-on-one programming sessions on the schedule. This is made possible thanks to the volunteer tutors that will be providing the free tutoring sessions to individuals ages 2.5 years up to 18! Yes, up to 18!!

Our tutoring program is not just for emerging learners and school-agers. It is for anyone over the age of 2 1/2 years old. We have added materials to our learning lab for our older participants to learn from and enjoy. This includes higher level books for reading and math materials to help with multiplication, division and more!

While we have new materials and some new tutors too, we have several returning tutors that are a true blessing to our Playhouse and our participants too! Welcome to Hannah O, Hannah H, Alyssa, and Amy to tutoring here at GiGi’s. We’re sure you’ll LOVE it!

Thank you Sue, Mara, Kathy, Bill, Barb, and Mike for coming back for another session of tutoring! We look forward to an outstanding summer with you and the other tutors.

Did we mention that tutoring is FREE? All programs here at the Playhouse are free and that includes literacy and math tutoring and the Amina Grace Speech and Language Therapy program too! This is made possible thanks to these and all the other volunteer tutors!

If you have tutored in the past, are a current tutor, or think you may be interested in becoming a tutor, we are holding a special Tutor Talk session at the end of June. Come one, come all! We will provide dinner as our thanks to you and you’ll get to talk with other tutors to hear what’s working for them.
