Please help us welcome Maddie to the Playhouse. She is one of the interns from St Ambrose University spending the spring with us. We asked Maddie to share a little bit about herself to help us and all of you get to know her.
Hi! My name is Madeline Blackbourn, but most people call me Maddie. I am a student at St. Ambrose University where I am majoring in Human Performance & Fitness. I have also been accepted into the SAU Occupational Therapy Graduate Program and will be starting classes this upcoming fall. At St. Ambrose, I am part of the competitive dance team and a member of the club known as STEP, which stands for Service Dog Training and Education Program. I am currently training a service dog named Lassen who is about 8 months old. I am beyond excited to be interning at GiGi’s Playhouse this semester and cannot wait to start helping out!
Maddie is bringing her dance team experience to the Playhouse by leading the spring dance program for our school-age friends. She is also tutoring two participants in literacy and helping with the spring GiGiFIT and GiGi’s Kitchen programs!
We can’t wait for you to meet her!
