60+ Volunteers!

Another John Deere Classic has come and gone! Most of you know that GiGi’s works a concession stand all week in exchange for a percentage from the food and beverage sales. Participating in this event and overseeing a stand takes LOTS of help. With over 60 volunteer shifts to fill, we would never be able to do it without Blackhawk Bank and Trust allowing their staff to come out and help. They also sponsor koozies that are available by donation (aka tips).

Along with the 26 volunteers from Blackhawk Bank and Trust, we had a small team from the Wells Fargo, several regular GiGi’s volunteers, staff, and family members too. Everyone gave of their time and sweat making sure the stand ran as smoothly as possible. New this year was a daily leader position! This person stayed all day and was responsible for overseeing the finance and inventory process. Having them on board allowed our staff to stay at the Playhouse and continue business as usual!

Many thanks to:

Tim, Board President

Carlos, Board Member

Marika, Intern

During the weekend of the classic, GiGi’s is also responsible for a beverage stand on hole #18. Thanks to a Board Member, Jenn, and her family, that area was taken care of!

This event is not only a fundraiser that typically brings in around $5000 it is also a way to be in the community and represent GiGi’s. It opens lines of communication with many community members that may not know who we are or what we do. We also get to see many of our GiGi’s friends! Thank you to everyone that intentionally stopped by the GiGi’s stand for your food and beverages we appreciated the love and support!

Congratulations to Dylan Frittelli the 2019 John Deere Classic Winner and thank you to all that helped make this another great year for GiGi’s!
