Volunteer Spotlight – Ava Gomez, Marketing Intern

My time volunteering as the Marketing Intern for GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities has been such a great experience this summer and into this fall. I am extremely lucky to have been able to intern at such a great organization for the community! Although with the majority of things being virtual/remote for many people and the adjustments to the “new normal” being difficult, I am thankful that being virtual has allowed me to continue volunteering for GiGi’s Playhouse into the school year while I am away. I am an advertising major at the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana, so having the opportunity to learn all about GiGi’s Playhouse and the volunteers dedicated to making it such a great organization has been so amazing. The staff has been extremely kind and welcoming these last few months, and I have been able to learn so many useful things for my future career, as well as for life in general with getting to know all about what makes GiGi’s Playhouse such a great place to be!

  1. […] PS Ava the Marketing Intern that we introduced to you a few months ago is also still volunteering behind the scenes. She graciously offered to stay on longer than originally planned to help. If you missed her welcome blog, it can be seen here. […]
