Our second home – GiGi’s

GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee has become our second home. When our son was diagnosed with Down syndrome we didn’t really reach out to anyone else in anyway. GiGi’s playhouse was the first place we actually spoke to other parents with kid with Down syndrome. To actually see kids thriving and doing well was inspirational. Now we go weekly for all the wonderful free programs. We have all made wonderful friends and the social skills gained at GiGi’s Playhouse cannot be measured. The programs are fun, educational and therapeutic. Cody also goes to tutoring with Ms. DIANE weekly and it is amazing the progress he is making with her and how that is helping him in school to keep up with the other kiddos. -Tami, a parent and volunteer leader for Art Explosion.

GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community. We offer free therapeutic and educational programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. With over 30 locations across the United States and Mexico and 200 inquiries to start new locations all over the world, GiGi’s Playhouse is the ONLY network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers. GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee was the 22nd Down syndrome Achievement Center to be created based on Nancy Gianni’s belief in the achievement abilities of individuals with Down syndrome.
