Event Overview
The GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge is a series of 50+ in-person events taking place across the country! All GiGi’s Playhouse locations host their very own Acceptance Challenge, consisting of a fitness-based challenge and fun-filled activities for the whole family.
Our local event consists of a Dash for Down Syndrome where participants kick off our event, inspiring our 5K runners and 1-mile walkers to MOVE for acceptance!

Your Support Changes Lives
Join the Milwaukee May 5th event to show your commitment to including people with Down syndrome and all unique abilities! Join a team, attend the event, donate, sponsor, or volunteer.
Raise awareness and funds by creating a team and inviting friends and family to sign up and join us! The funds and awareness you raise will help provide life-changing programs and acceptance initiatives here, at GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee.
Registration
$25 per 1-Mile Walker ($35 starting May 1)
$35 per 5K Runner ($40 starting May 1)
FREE Dash for Acceptance
Raffle Tickets $5 each or $20 for a wingspan (at event)
Event T-shirts $10
GiGi’s t-shirts $21
Day of event registration is possible; however, t-shirts are not guaranteed

8:00am - Open Registration & Packet pick-up
8:30am - GiGiFIT program sample & Warm-ups
9:00am - Dash for Acceptance
9:15am - 5K Timed Run
9:20am - 1-Mile Inspirational Walk
10:00am - Awards, Raffles, Family Fun & Pie-in-the-face
Followed by post-race party and family activities.
Please keep dogs at home.

Team Incentives and Awards
- For each person that joins your team, the team champion will get 1 raffle entry into the photo wall drawing (12 chances to win)
- Teams created by 3/10 will receive an event yard sign! Pick-up signs at the Down Syndrome Day Party at GiGi’s 11am-1pm on March 10
- The top 5 fundraising team champions will get to have a photo on the picture wall at GiGi’s
- The top fundraising team will win an award
- The biggest team will win an award
- The top 3 5K runners in each age group for men and women – receive medals
