Incredible Interns

As a 99% volunteer run organization, we rely on the time and talents of all our volunteers.

We have so many people willing to give their time to our Playhouse community that we are consistently in the top 5% of annual volunteer hours across our entire network of 58+ Playhouse locations!

This Spring session of programming we are running 14 different programs and serving over 380 families. By building relationships with local universities and colleges, we have been able to build a pipeline for students to find fulfilling volunteer work. Four of our five interns are from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Rehab Psych Special Education (RPSE) school.

Our interns are a higher level volunteer because we assign more responsibility and breadth of tasks to them. This group of people may spend ten to twenty hours a week at the Playhouse! Our program and Volunteer Manager meets with each volunteer to understand their skill set, number of volunteer hours needed and how their availability aligns with our programming and operations needs.

We are excited for you to learn a little more about each of our interns by clicking HERE.

Thank you for all you do Penn, Ayden, Nikki, Amelia and Sarah!
