Getting the right tools

This is Zoe. She is 8 years old and a dancer, a singer, a swimmer and she can read in part because of GiGi’s Playhouse. Zoe and her family have been a part of GiGi’s Playhouse Madison since it opened attending many of the free programs offered like play groups, therapy and tutoring. Zoe has been through a couple of sessions of reading tutoring. The sessions were so hands on and perfectly tailored to Zoe’s individual interests. Learning to read included games, songs, familiar words along with needed movement breaks. This tutoring really gave Zoe the push to actually start reading and gave her the tools she needs to be a successful learner in her school environment. Walking into GiGi’s Playhouse is like walking into home, total acceptance.
