Frustration leads to Literacy success story!

Extreme frustration!! That is what MH was expressing as he was trying to figure out how to access the Playhouse’s X-Box game system. He had verbally requested for help from X-Box-illiterate adults to no avail, even “puppy dog eyes” did not help the situation. So with the confidence of just two literacy tutoring sessions under his belt, MH decided to read the pictured and written directions of operation on his own. Even though MH was not able to access the game system, he had pulled on the heart strings of his mother and tutor who were observing his resourcefulness. If all else fails, read the directions.
