Community Generosity

Our participant Matt is helping us add donor recognition leaves to our robust donor tree!

Our donor tree is beautiful focal point of our Playhouse and represents the generosity of our community.

Each leaf represents an individual or organization who has given $1,000 or more through life-time giving (it does not need to be a one time $1,000 donation). Although we are part of a national network of Playhouses, we are self-funded locally. This means all funds raised in Madison, stay in Madison and directly benefit our families.

We are excited to share that we will be adding 110 new leaves to our tree!

We have implemented a new process for creating the leaves that will allow our participants to be involved from start to finish. We are purchasing blank, wooden leaves and are having our participants paint them, add the donor name by attaching a label and then hanging them on the wall. This experience allows our Playhouse community to get a full understanding of how generous all our donors are.

Our tree has gotten so full that we have created a map to more easily find a specific donors leaf!
