2017 Brackets for Good Battle

This year, GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis is ready for its “one shining moment,” and not just for NCAA hoops! GiGi’s has been selected as one of 64 local charities in this year’s Indianapolis leg of the Brackets for Good competition, a six-round bracket-style fundraising tournament that takes place over five weeks, beginning Friday February 24, 2017 and running through March 31, 2017.

A fun and unique way for nonprofits to bring awareness and raise donations, Brackets for Good, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, kicked off in Indianapolis in 2012 and now has expanded to 11 cities. The goal of the annual single-elimination competition is to build awareness, raise funds and expand marketing capabilities for local nonprofits through competitive online fundraising tournaments.

“We’re honored to be one of the 64 Indianapolis nonprofits competing this year, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to increase awareness about GiGi’s Playhouse within Central Indiana,” said Denisse Jensen, executive director of GiGi’s Playhouse Indianapolis.  “We’ve got our game faces on, and we’re in it to win it.”

GiGi’s kicks-off Brackets for Good with a competitive match-up against Nextech. Every $1 donated in GiGi’s name through Brackets for Good equals one point scored. At the end of each round of competitive donation battling, the nonprofit with the most points advances to the next round, the points are then reset and the competitive fundraising continues until a champion is crowned.
