With July already in our rear view, what will you do with the outdoor time that’s left before “back to school” is upon us?
Even before summer had officially begun on the calendar, GiGi’s Playhouse Cleveland got the party started outdoors with the Dash for Down syndrome fundraiser event at Lakewood Park. We all hold so many cherished memories from that day filled with sunshine, warm temps and community! Runners and walkers alike burned a few calories for a good cause and enjoyed some incredible-tasting donuts without guilt!
Have you been back to the park since that eventful day?
GiGi’s own Project Pulse performed at Stinchcomb Memorial’s venue to a very receptive crowd on Tuesday, June 28th. The drummers were a’drumming and the beat was on! A glad time was shared by all who attended.
And, if you say, “Darn! I missed it!” Guess what? GiGi’s Project Pulse will be back for another park performance on Tuesday, September 6th. Bring a fold-up chair or a blanket and fill in your summertime blank above this way!
You can add a walk along Lakewood Park’s beautiful Ohio shoreline. The bluffs are breathtaking this time of year! Or you might grab a pizza to eat on the Solstice steps at sunset. You won’t ever forget that view! And, of course, the kids’ playground is one of, if not the best, around! A place to frolic and run from this to that!

Many restaurants along Detroit or Madison are glad to offer outdoor dining this time of year. Ice cream or gelato cones can be enjoyed while strolling the local streets. But, don’t wait much longer! In a blink or two, you’ll be looking for a sweater!
So many choices in our area to fill in your summertime blank! The Cleveland Zoo, the Metroparks, the ballpark and water parks!
