Best of All: Gabe’s Growth in Tutoring, Speech, and Feeding Therapy

At GiGi’s Playhouse Canton, we believe in celebrating every success, big and small, as part of our “Best of All” mindset. This week, we are thrilled to spotlight Gabe, whose incredible progress across multiple programs is inspiring everyone around him!

Gabe has been participating in our one-on-one math tutoring program this summer and recently reunited with his former tutor, Sydney, whom he hadn’t seen since last fall. Their bond was instantly rekindled, and Gabe wasted no time jumping right back into learning. In fact, he’s been walking straight to his tutoring room without any distractions!
In speech therapy, Gabe is making exciting strides in his communication. After a recent session, Gabe earned some time to do an activity of his choosing. While playing, he clearly said, “I’m doing the slide,” which was an exciting moment that showcased his growing clarity and confidence in expressing himself. These improvements have not gone unnoticed, and they are a testament to Gabe’s hard work and the supportive environment our Playhouse provides.
Gabe’s journey doesn’t stop there. He is also participating in SOS Feeding Therapy with one of our incredible Playhouse volunteers. For a child who does not typically eat orally, this is a remarkable milestone. Gabe has begun exploring food with his senses, trying suckers, and taking meaningful steps toward eating solid foods. Watching him engage with food in a playful and positive way has been nothing short of heartwarming.

Gabe reminds us all that progress is not about perfection – it’s about perseverance. We are so proud of everything he’s accomplishing and can’t wait to celebrate every achievement along the way.
Way to go, Gabe! You are truly showing your Best of All!
