A family’s perspective about GiGiFit Acceptance Challenge.

We love participating in the annual GiGiFit Acceptance Challenge!
We’ve been doing it almost every year since my son, Charlie, was born with Down Syndrome. It’s a great way to join the rest of the community for a day of exercise and fun, but more importantly as a means of supporting and accepting all individuals with Down Syndrome. As our community always says, they are “more alike than different”!

GFAC has evolved over the years from a 5K fundraiser to it’s current form, a movement promoting acceptance for not only our community but for all communities. Please consider taking the challenge and join Charlie’s Champions for the GiGiFit Acceptance Challenge (GFAC) on June 5th at John Howell Park. This is a family friendly event with a 5k, a kids dash, an inspirational walk and more, but if you can not join us in Midtown, take the challenge and MOVE for change at your own personal event!
