Volunteer Types

Program Leader

The Program Leader is the face of an individual program. They plan and lead the session and are consistent with attendance. They have a deep understanding of the program goals and are certified as a leader through GiGi’s learning management system.

Program Volunteer

The Program Volunteer supports the Leader in making progress towards the program goals. They help implement the plan of the Leader and work with the GiGi’s participants in a hands-on manner.

Tutor

GiGi’s Playhouse offers math and literacy tutoring to support the learning of our participants with Down syndrome. The commitment is 1 hour per week plus prep time for one session (10 weeks). You will work directly with directly with the family of the child you are tutoring to determine when you will meet for your session each week.

Event Volunteer

GiGi’s Playhouse hosts 3 major events per year (GiGiFit Acceptance Challenge, GiGi’s Atlanta Golf Classic, & I Have a Voice Gala). Event volunteers can support the success of these days ranging from helping on the day of the event to helping with the planning of the event.

Administrative

Administrative volunteers can help in ways such as:

• Clean team: help cleaning the Playhouse
• Handyman: little fixes around the Playhouse
• Thank-you Crew: help with thank you notes as needed
