New Program: Super Sibs with Erika!

We are so excited to have an amazing volunteer, Erika Schilling lead a new program called Super Sibs at the Playhouse!  Super Sibs is a special time for siblings of individuals with Down syndrome to talk about the good, and the sometimes not-so-good moments of having a sibling with Down syndrome. This program is for youth with a brother or sister with Down syndrome in which they can share, play games and enjoy connecting with other ‘siblings’. Recommended for siblings age 6 to 13 and parents are encouraged to meet in another room of the Playhouse during this program.

Our first Super Sibs is scheduled for September 18th  from 11:30-1:30pm and we will be making pizzas and getting to know each other through games.  RSVP here!

Now lets learn a little about Erika!  I am proud to call myself a big sister to an amazing young lady with Down syndrome. I am originally from Fond du Lac, WI but have relocated to Stevens Point so that I could go to UW- Stevens Point to get my bachelors degrees in Special Education and Psychology with an emphasis in Human Services. I am currently teaching Special Education in the Wausau School District! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, dog, and guinea pigs. We all love to spend time outside and we try to enjoy the fresh Wisconsin air as much as possible! I am very excited to be volunteering with GiGi’s so I can help show Central Wisconsin how amazing individuals with Down syndrome are!
