Peter & Chris – Volunteer Spotlight

Celebrating Peter Rebstock and Chris Wexler

Chris and Peter with Programs and Marketing Manager Gabby at the Summer Picnic.

In our June Volunteer Spotlight, we are thrilled to recognize two exceptional volunteers who contribute significantly to our community while often staying out of the spotlight. Peter Rebstock and Chris Wexler are our go-to handymen, event helpers, van cleaners, and overall “get it done” guys. Whenever a task arises, the common response is, “Chris or Peter can do it.”

Peter Rebstock

Peter Rebstock, the husband of our Executive Director Katherine Rebstock, has been a steadfast volunteer since she joined GiGi’s Playhouse Twin Cities in 2021. Peter consistently steps up, especially in last-minute situations. Whether it’s steaming banners and loading trucks the morning before our gala or building shelves to accommodate our growing storage needs, Peter is always there to lend a helping hand.

Chris Wexler

Chris Wexler, the husband of our Operations Manager Amy Wexler, is another invaluable member of our volunteer team. Chris serves as a Math & Literacy Tutor and is a beloved Playhouse Santa. Since he began tutoring this past spring, he has made a significant impact. Recently, Chris’s handy work has been indispensable: installing doorstops, locks, yoga mat holders and even a ballet bar in our new fitness room.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Peter and Chris for their unwavering dedication and unique contributions to the Playhouse. Their efforts have been instrumental in upgrading our facilities and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. We couldn’t have achieved these improvements without their support and hard work.

Thank you, Peter, and Chris, for everything you do!
