Celebrating Tony’s Hard-Earned Victory!

If you attended The Best of Us Gala, you may have spotted Tony greeting guests with a warm smile as he handed out nametags. But what you might not know is that Tony has been working hard toward a major personal goal—earning a Nintendo Switch!

Over the past two months, Tony has embraced new responsibilities at home, strengthened his money management skills, and practiced independence and patience. His dedication paid off, and he recently achieved his goal!

Tony’s mom, Danyel, shared just how much this journey has meant:

“His big hitter is the independent grocery shopping. He has lots of jobs, and we didn’t want to just give it to him. He is thriving on the independence and trying new things. He did his own wraps for his boxing – something I’ve been doing weekly for years. Now, with the desire to be ‘Mr. Independent,’ he has gained more confidence and is trying things on his own. He’s even working on earning some games for his new Nintendo Switch!”

Tony’s story is an inspiring reminder of the power of perseverance and the confidence that comes with newfound independence. Congratulations, Tony—we can’t wait to see what goal you tackle next!
