Volunteer Spotlight: Claudine Caballero

This month’s volunteer spotlight is Claudine Caballero. Claudine’s tireless efforts and deep involvement with the 1-on-1 Literacy Program at GiGi’s Playhouse Tampa make her an unsung hero to literacy tutors, participants, and staff alike. Claudine has stepped up into the role of Literacy Co- Coordinator, in addition to continuing to fill her existing role as Literacy Tutor Trainer. Claudine is steadfast in her commitment to meet with all new, and returning, volunteer Literacy Tutors in advance of the upcoming sessions every Spring, Summer, and Fall. By taking the time to introduce the ins & outs of the Literacy Program’s best practices like “I Do, We Do, You Do” purposeful progressions, selecting RAZ Plus books, and always offering to create, print, and assemble numerous visual aides, our tutors are given the greatest chance of helping our participants reach their “Best of All” each session. So because of this, we are celebrating Claudine.
