The power of GiGi’s Playhouse Volunteers where ever they go!
Meet one of GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego’s amazing transplant volunteers Riley!
Riley started volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego in December 2023 but is no stranger to GiGi’s Playhouse. He moved from Detroit, Michigan to sunny San Diego and has been a force to be reckon with as a volunteer. We have to give the Detroit Playhouse a huge thank you for sending him our way.
From the Detroit Playhouse upon his departure:
“THANK YOU for the light, positivity, and steadfast support you gave to participants week after week. We have no doubt wonderful things are in store for your future, on whichever path takes you! Come back and visit when you’re in town!!!”
A true sentiment to the type of volunteer Riley is and has become. We here at GiGi’s San Diego appreciate the dedication, development and openness to learn from each and every participant.
Riley is quickly making a name for himself here at GiGi’s San Diego, becoming a Program Lead in rotation for our Fitness Fun program, carefully following the structure, ensuring that all participants are exercising in the most safe manner yet having a blast in doing so.
Riley has become a familiar face in the Playhouse, volunteering with not only our Fitness Fun, but can be found volunteering at GiGi’s Kitchen, Fantastic Friends and other events.
We are so happy Riley has decided to continue with GiGi’s, making a lasting impact on the community and especially with our participants! Rock on Riley!
Volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse is a truly unique and exciting experience and just like you see how Riley continued his volunteering efforts after his big move, you can too! We have many volunteer opportunities available: virtual (which can be global), in-person, group programs, special events, 1:1 tutoring, you name it and we will see what we can do because without our amazing volunteers like Riley, we cannot be without you!
