Spotlight Volunteer – Meet Lucy S.

This month one of our Youth Board member/volunteer Lucy has stepped up and has truly blossomed. She has been a member of the Youth Board since January 2022 but didn’t come into her own until just recently with consistently showing up to the Youth Board meetings, actively engaging in the conversation of what they could be doing, offering suggestions especially since she will be graduating this next year.

Lucy has also become a great volunteer, listening to feedback and suggestions, putting them into play as she volunteers. She’s a lively, energetic being and is able to get the participants to participate in different activities. Her next project with the Playhouse is a senior project that will encourage our Fantastic Friends group the art of horticulture in the community garden.

“Spending time with participants, singing, dancing and cooking, I love it all”. – Lucy S.

Good you job Lucy!
